Prof. Dr. Abdel Salam Makhlouf, PhD

Professor Makhlouf is a globally recognized leader with over 31 years of expertise in independent research, project management, teaching, and consulting. His previous roles include Vice President of Advanced Material Research at Stanley Black & Decker, Inc. (USA), Vice President of IM2C (USA), Full Professor of Materials Science at CMRDI in Egypt, and Full Professor of Manufacturing and Industrial Engineering at the University of Texas (USA).
Recognized among the top 2% of most cited scientists globally for five consecutive years, Professor Makhlouf is the recipient of numerous prestigious awards, including the Humboldt Research Award for Experienced Scientists from the Max Planck Institute (Germany), Fulbright Scholarship, NSF and Department of Energy Fellowships (USA), Shoman Award in Engineering Science, and Egypt’s State Prize for Advanced Science and Technology. He is an esteemed member of various organizations, including TMS (USA), EPSRC (UK), the European Science Foundation's College of Expert Reviewers, and alumni networks of the Fulbright Program, Max Planck Institute, and Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
Professor Makhlouf is a respected board member, consultant, advisor, and reviewer for various universities and international organizations. He has held senior editorial roles in several international journals. With over 200 peer-reviewed papers, 24 books, 32 book chapters, and 150+ technical reports, his research is highly recognized. His work, with an h-index of 47 and over 7,600 citations, is globally ranked among the best in fields like nanostructures, nanomaterials, biomedical engineering, materials science, coatings, environmental science, and nuclear materials.
